Stories that inspire | Nevan, Pranjal and Krithik | Ep - 2
A family’s learning journey with Mozhi Academy.
April 2021
When Nevan was in the 10th grade, his mother reached out to me for help with his English. Years earlier, she and I had worked together at the same company. Nevan took English language training with us along with his friend.
May 2023
Mozhi Academy began offering classroom training at our physical location in Coimbatore. That summer, Nevan’s sister, Pranjal, joined our Summer Programme. She had just completed 8th grade and was preparing to enter 9th. In the summer of 2024, she returned to the programme again. We had told her she was always welcome to come back.
Every now and then, she drops by the office or sends me her writing such as poems and other pieces she's been working on.
December 2023
Nevan was preparing to pursue his higher studies in Japan. To meet the language requirements, he enrolled in our IELTS training at Mozhi Academy. And he was able to achieve an overall band score of 8.
His individual scores were:
- Listening: 8.5
- Reading: 9
- Writing: 7
- Speaking: 7
He is now studying Mechatronics Engineering at Kyoto University of Advanced Science in Japan.
December 2024
Nevan’s friend, Krithik, joined Mozhi Academy for his own IELTS preparation, recommended by Nevan. He was planning to pursue higher studies in the United States.
Krithik achieved an overall band score of 7.5.
His individual scores were:
- Listening: 8.5
- Reading: 7.5
- Writing: 7
- Speaking: 7
